Heal the Pain of the Past· Rediscover You
I have never had coaching before. How will I know if coaching can help me?
We'll have consultation up front. We'll get to know each other, talk about the coaching process, and the changes and benefits you are likely to experience. I will answer any questions you have, empowering you to make a fully informed decisions about what best for you.
I don’t feel comfortable talking to a stranger about my trauma experiences. Do I have to tell you everything about my past?
Only if you choose to. It is not necessary for the details of any situation to be shared. The great thing about trauma recovery coaching is that the techniques and skills are aimed at correcting issues affecting you in the present not the past. Coaching aims to build upon the strengths and knowledge that you already have and looks at finding solutions to problems rather than focusing on the causes.
Do you offer Consultations?
Yes. While choosing a Life Coach is one of the most rewarding ways to become the best version of yourself, hiring one should not be done in haste. A healthy connection between coach and client is vital in a coaching relationship. To ensure this, we'll meet for a consultation up front so both you and I can ensure an honorable rapport.
Why do I have fill out a consultation form?
A quality coaching session begins with a thorough intake to elicit the particular thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes that are driving the behaviors that you want to change, as well as getting clear about the goals/outcomes that you want to accomplish. This often takes longer than 50 minutes. Completing the consultation form allows me to get to know your heart a little bit before our session begins.
How many sessions will I need?
This is really up to you. Coaching is similar to your relationship with a physical therapist. The therapist will give you the exercises to get you back into shape while healing, but the therapist won’t come to your home to do the exercises for you. In the beginning you may have several visits with the therapist dealing with the current issue and poor habits in your healing, but the quicker you take on the responsibility to maintain the work, the sooner you will adjust to a periodic “checkup”.
The same applies to life coaching and change work. We uncover and change many negative thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes that influence your behaviors. However, for you to get the most out of it, you will need to do your work between coaching sessions as well. It’s a daily commitment inside and outside of your sessions to continue moving toward lasting transformation.
Why do I need to buy a package of sessions?
This is because it is necessary to have commitment and accountability established so that you experience LASTING changes. You have to want your changes so much that you commit to showing up to regular sessions prepared to do the work. This is the way you honor and empower yourself as well as conquer all the ways you previously may have sabotaged making changes.
