I Choose To Forgive
I believe that true forgiveness is when you get to the point where you can say, "thank you" to the person, for giving you that experience.
True forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past can be different. You release it. You don't want it to be different because there are so many gifts that came out of it. It made you rise to a new level of strength in yourself and that is a gift!
True forgiveness heals you of your past.
Every single thing has a gift hidden in it. If you dig, there is a lesson in there somewhere. Ask yourself how it serves you and what you can learn from the situation.
Every experience that I have had in life has helped to make me who I am today and I love the person that I am today.
So I thank the jerks for being jerks and I thank those who have done me wrong because they taught me how to be more of person and how to set my own boundaries. Because of them I became more disciplined, more self-reliant, more independent and they helped me to see myself for who I really am.
If you find yourself in the midst of a terrible situation and it is chronic and it doesn't seem to end, ask yourself these questions:
If this were to last forever, what quality would I have to grow to have peace of mind?
What is this here to teach me?
Find the lesson for what it is, learn it, and then get out of the situation and move on.
Know that in life, until you fall in love with yourself, madly in love with yourself and you make yourself the example you won't get love from another because you are the first example of how the world is supposed to love you and you have to give them the best example ever. This is because you teach people how to treat you. You cannot expect people to treat you better than you are treating yourself. That is unrealistic and unfair.
Show up understanding your greatness and allow others to share it with you.
Success in greatness is the constant unfolding of your soul, the constant unfolding of releasing the gifts and the talents and the capacities that are within you - progressing - moving forward. It doesn't matter whether anyone knows about you or not. If you are living the gifts and talents that are within you, you're successful!
So be grateful for what you have and find the good in it and the beauty in it! In our lives, these are the things that we need to focus on!!!
