Get an understanding of your needs, what happens when they’re not met and how to meet them in healthy ways.

Every human has specific needs that are often dismissed or simply not recognized by families and culture. These needs begin with the basics you’re already aware of but quickly expand into deep psychological and even spiritual needs.

When one of them is unmet for any reason, your system subconsciously scrambles to get them met in any way possible. While that’s a great superpower of your nervous system, it’s also a double-edged sword because as children we learn to sacrifice ourselves for survival. We do this to keep ourselves safe, to emotionally and physically protect ourselves the best way possible. And even though it’s done a great job getting you this far, it’s an unhealthy way to live as an adult.

So, with knowledge, comes power.

It begins with…

understanding what your needs are,

  • identifying ways they may not have been met

  • learning to recognize the survivor strategies you’ve created and

  • how they are impacting your life today.

Then you get to embrace new, healthy and liberating ways of meeting all of your needs that feel honoring to your authentic self.

What students are saying

What an insightful and informative course! Whether you want to learn more about the impact of someone else’s trauma, or your own, Kerri is a great instructor. - Colleen Esposito

I have always felt a disconnect within myself, an emptiness that I never fully understood. I was in therapy previously, to no avail.  I was tired. I needed to understand ME and why couldn't I progress forward in my life mentally/emotionally? Why did I carry so many residual feelings from childhood and trauma that I just couldn't shake off? What was wrong with me? Do others feel this way? When presented with Kerri's Certified Trauma Specialist Training Program, to be honest, I thought to myself, I don't want to coach others when I, myself, am struggling so badly! I secretly and with embarrassment felt defeated that there was NO way I could continue in my professional life to coach, supervise, or counsel anyone. I was crumbling apart and quickly! I needed to do something. Kerri was recommended by a counter partner, and I tried so many other things but never took a course.... so I did! After 51 years on this earth, I FINALLY had clarity! I have FINALLY connected the dots and filled in the empty gaps in my life that now make sense. Kerri truly was put in my path and taught me to understand myself, so that I am able to be more patient, tolerable understanding, and empathetic of others. Kerri's constant motivation and encouragement pushed me to heights I never thought I would reach. All thanks to Kerri for inspiring me to be excellent in all that I do. Thank you for seeing and bringing out the best in me. Thank you for teaching me the skills to be a better human! - Laura Silva
