The Trauma Coaches Barter Coaching Circle
The coaching circle is for serious Trauma Recovery Coaches looking to connect, support, and experience growth in a judgment-free zone. It is a collective whose purpose is to serve and support a growing Trauma Recovery Coaching community for the betterment of not only serving clients but also building your coaching practice and/or business.
All coaching done by you in the circle is considered barter and should follow the → Guiding Principles ← as set by the IAOTRC, the → Code of Ethics ← as set by the ICF, or the → Ethical Standards for Counselors as forth by the American Counseling Association (ADA) and the Psychological Association Code of Ethics ← as set by COMPASS.
For TICC, membership requires that you have completed the TICC program.
For IAOTRC, membership requires that you have completed the program for initial certification or above. You are eligible to join before taking the exam or completing your portfolio.
For COMPASS, membership requires that you have completed the COMPASS program.
As a member of the circle you will be paired with both a coach and a client. You will meet with each separately once a week to coach and be coached over a 12 week schedule, thus simulating a 3 month coaching package. (All coaches and clients are members of the circle).
This weekly schedule is decided by you and your coach/client. At the end of the 12 weeks you will be assigned a new coach and a new client to start all over again. This will include two (2) coaching circle cycles.
Masterminds and Group Discussions will also be held to further share knowledge, practice our skills and learn from one other.
In the best interest of skill development within this circle Mentor Coaching in the form of observation will be provided where needed and only by your request as the coach. This is to ensure all members get the most out of the circle.
Rules:
# 1. You agree to coach and be coached.
# 2. When being coached, come prepared with a topic: a real-life struggle or business challenge.← Have goal, the mindset and an intention for each session.
# 3. As mentioned above, all coaching done by you in the circle should follow the → Code of Ethics ← as set by the ICF or the → Guiding Principles ← as set by the IAOTRC, or the → Ethical Standards for Counselors as forth by the American Counseling Association (ADA) and the Psychological Association Code of Ethics ← as set by COMPASS.
# 4. As a client you are coached for 45- 50 minutes. This is followed by a 10-15 minute review of the session focusing on insights. You will verbalize:
○ How the coach helped you in the session (what shifted for you).
○ How the coach can further develop their skills, honing in on their strengths to gain confidence,
and overcome their weaknesses.

# 5. (Optional) At the end of each cycle give your coach a review for their website. To honor confidentiality and/or anonymity reviews should be listed on website using first name only. Or as a client, if you are not concerned with anonymity, you can choose to leave a review on the coaches google business page or one of their social media business pages. This is totally up to you as a client, it’s optional, and should be something you are comfortable doing.
All assigned Coaches\Clients are members of the circle that have completed a Trauma Informed or Recovery Coaching Program.

Build and/or streamline your work process and improve your workflow. This is a great way to see what works for your business and what does not. The more you can simplify your process the better.
Sharpen your skills as a coach. This provides a unique opportunity to confidentially share your challenges and gain insight on issues, enabling you to explore potential solutions, and achieve better outcomes.
Learn from your coaching colleagues. We are all students and teachers. The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose is to give it away.
Build a team of colleagues you can confidently work with moving forward and refer clients to should their topic be outside of your scope of practice.
Compile authentic coaching reviews to help promote your business. (Confidentiality and/or anonymity must be honored).
